Wednesday 29th January – The evening of Tuesday 28th January saw BLJ CEO Steve Crane attend a British Airways event celebrating 65 years of operations within Japan. British Airways, who are a fellow strategic partner of the Export to Japan platform, currently operate 12 weekly services between Heathrow and Tokyo (both Narita and Haneda) airports.

Hosted at the British Embassy in Tokyo, the party also welcomed the newest member of BA Japan’s commercial management team. Jonty Brunner will be undertaking the role of Regional Commercial Manager for Japan and Korea, leading the commercial sales teams and maintaining the relationship between BA and their partners Japan Airlines.

Additionally, BA took the opportunity to announce an increased investment in the UK – Japan route, with the introduction of more weekly flights to Japan and new time slots at Haneda airport.
