BLJ, British Airways, The British Chamber of Commerce and UKTI announce the official launch of Export to Japan portal

27th November 2013 – Monday night in Tokyo saw the official launch of the new digital platform Export to Japan. Hosted by HM Ambassador Tim Hitchens at his residence, the reception was attended by more than 20 partner companies there to support the new portal. The not-for-profit partnership aims to provide resources, market insight and professional services for UK businesses entering or expanding into the Japanese market.

Business Link Japan, a strategic partner of the portal alongside the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan and British Airways, were present in the form of CEO Steve Crane, who commented that the platform provided an easily accessible ‘wealth of information’ for UK companies.

Free to register, British companies can now access relevant and up-to-date information related to the Japanese market and business sector insights provided by UK Trade and Investment officials. Registered users also have the opportunity to sign up to UKTI events in Tokyo and Osaka, one-to-one meetings with British Embassy and Consulate-General sector specialists visiting the UK and regular live webinars on a broad range of topics.
