12th September – UKTI Japan announce Oncology Webinar

On Friday 4th October, The Life Sciences Team at UK Trade & Investment Japan are hosting a free online webinar exploring the opportunities within the Japanese Oncology Market. This webinar offers a rare and invaluable opportunity to British life sciences companies to learn about the current Japanese oncology market and opportunities, with professional insights from Mr Takuma Maeda, IMS Consulting Group, Japan. (See profile below).

Cancer has been the leading cause of death in Japan since the mid-1980s. The Japanese government takes this very seriously and in 2007  the Cancer Control Act was introduced in an attempt to improve the situation, boosting the total spent  on Japanese cancer control to £2.4 billion. Naturally, both the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries regard cancer as one of their core therapeutic areas with imperative high demands for innovative technology licensing and product imports.

As part of the UKTI Japan’s Oncology Campaign, this webinar provides an overview of the Japanese oncology market ahead of the Oncology Trade Mission to Japan in February 2014.

If you are interested in exciting business opportunities in the world’s 2nd largest healthcare market, please don’t miss this webinar – register via the Export to Japan website by Thursday 3 October. Please note that this event is open to all UK based companies.

Date: Friday 4 October

Time: 9:00-9:40 (Presentation and Q&A in English, UK time)
