On Friday 4th October, The Life Sciences Team at UK Trade & Investment Japan are hosting a free online webinar exploring the opportunities within the Japanese Oncology Market. Cancer has been the leading cause of death in Japan since the mid-1980s. The Japanese government takes this very seriously and in 2007 the Cancer Control Act was introduced in an attempt to improve the situation, boosting the total spent on Japanese cancer control to £2.4 billion. Naturally, both the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries regard cancer as one of their core therapeutic areas with imperative high demands for innovative technology licensing and product imports.
