18th Mar 2012 – BLJ and the British Embassy Tokyo organise ‘Expect the Unexpected’ business symposium
Business Link Japan and the British Embassy Tokyo joined forces to organise this key business event. Timed to coincide with the first anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, the objective of the symposium was to showcase the expertise on offer in the UK in the sector of Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
Business Link Japan recruited Aggreko, the Glasgow based power generation company as headline sponsor for the event, together with 7 other UK companies to speak and make presentations. The event took place at the British Ambassador’s residence, and Sir David Warren HM Ambassador to Japan delivered the opening speech and welcome the 120+ Japanese delegates.
The presentations were followed by a networking event, where Japanese delegates could make direct connections to the UK companies and discuss specific business needs.
